Have you ever felt so deep in despair you felt that your world is coming to an end? Have you ever heard such terribly shocking news that you thought there would be no way to come back around? Well, I have. At the age of 15, I had heard the worst phrase any adolescent can dare to hear; “You have been diagnosed with cancer.”
When you are that young, you surrender to your illness, especially when the thought of its terminal effects colonizes your mind. You feel like you are ready to succumb to your short-lived fate. You dare to contemplate all the dreams you had and the great ambitions you had forged. A young boy in the cockpit of an airplane with a pilot suit saluting his crew. A dream that would never become reality some would say. Fortunately, today I stand tall having proven them wrong.
You see, what people don’t realize these days is that your mind is stronger than your body. You have the power to change your destiny. I woke up one day with the determination to change my fate. I wasn’t going to allow a diagnosis to define my life.
When I changed my mindset, I received my miracle. I woke up on the 12th of November 2013 cancer free. I had become a cancer survivor. I had been given a second chance in life, and I wasn’t going to take it for granted. I knew the value of having a life, for having health. I didn’t know what the future would hold or how long I had been given a second chance, but I was determined to make the best of it. My dreams would become a reality.

Today, 10 years later, I stand here as a fully licensed pilot holding a commercial pilot license (CPL). I had made my dream come true. I went from the confines of a hospital room to the mesmerizing wonders of the skies. But that wasn’t enough. I had been given a gift, and I felt that it was my responsibility to make a difference in the world.
I was appointed the Chief Executive Officer of Mehyou Group. Through the dedication and persistence that I exhibited, I was able to take the Group to a whole new era. We have made remarkable achievements and contributions to the aviation, business, technology, hospitality, trade and manufacturing, marketing and advertising, and real estate sectors.
Still not having satisfied my hunger for business innovation, I established Intercontinental Airways Organization, IAO. Its purpose is to redefine the aviation industry through the array of business it conducts. Under its supervision, IAO offers the most advanced and modern aviation education and training. It provides private jet charter services, and general aviation development services. I hold this company near and dear to my heart as it combines both my passions, aviation and business.
As a survivor, I am well aware of the impacts of having misfortunes. It is my ultimate goal to make a tremendous difference for those in peril. Through the Mehyou Foundation and as part of its board, I have adopted various causes. We endeavor to give a second chance to those who feel hopeless. We want to be the beacon of hope and the light at the end of the tunnel, guiding others to their own second chance.
All in all, I have come to view the hardship and my cancer diagnosis as somewhat of a blessing. It taught me that no disease can stand in my way. I am the pilot of my own journey, and my perseverance will guide me to heights I can only have ever fantasized of. The first 28 years I have been given were a true testament of my will and endurance, and the years I have lined up to come are going to be proof of execution. Nothing can stop me now!
