One obvious expansion in aviation is the launch of Riyadh Air, Saudi Arabia’s new national airline. HRH Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, the Prime Minister and Chairman of the Saudi Public Investment Fund, announced the official launch on Sunday, March 12, 2023. The airline will comprise of an advanced fleet of aircrafts that are equipped with the latest modern technology.
The new airline is set to operate out of Riyadh. It will allow Saudi Arabia to become a recognized force in aviation and transportation along with increasing tourism in its region. The nation aims to enhance its aviation industry and compete in the global aviation sector. The venture is believed to generate an estimate of 200,000 new jobs, around 20 billion dollars to the country’s GDP, and an increase of approximately 30 million tourists by the year 2030.
Consequently, this proves how dominant the aviation industry has become. In today’s modern world, countries are finding themselves in need of this sector.
The Middle East is among the fastest-growing aviation providersin the world. It is projected that the Middle East and GCC will see an expeditious growth this decade. Since January 2020, the region has seen a 98% growth in its fleet and an 82% growth in travel.
Qatar was a great contributor to these statistics through its hosting of the FIFA World Cup in 2022. It introduced the intercontinental community, around 1.4 million visitors, to the beauty that the Middle East has to offer. It is projected that tourists will continue to visit the region in the near future.
Turkish civil aviation has reached a new record with five aviation enterprises located within the top 10 exporters. According to a report released by Turkey Exporters Assembly (TIM), aviation businesses rose to first place in export services. It also hosts 52 domestic destinations that are heavily visited by tourists, and its airlines travel to a whopping 262 international destinations in 124 countries.
Moreover, the traffic in Lebanon rose 98.9% in the beginning of 2022, and continued to rise in 2023. It is projected to grow 113% within the next 20 years. Lebanon not only hosts tourists from all around the world, it has become a destination for business ventures, and it is also offering a variety of aviation services from aviation education and training to airport development, private and charter airline services, and more. It is home to one of the world leading aviation academies, Airways Aviation, and Intercontinental Aviation Organization, an organization that oversees pilot training, the design and construction of airport, marketing plans, new aviation projects, aviation consultation, and the likes.
Airways Aviation has established basis in Lebanon, Turkey, Dubai, and India. It continues to contribute to the aviation sector, locally and globally. It is highly sought after because of the great location and accommodating weather offer in the Middle East and GCC. It provides valuable services, expertise, and training.
